Swapping out those old, tired bulbs for high-efficiency infrared (IR) lamps is a quick way to get your temperatures steady without a massive renovation project.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Here is why it actually works.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Standard heaters spend way too much time trying to warm up the air. It&amp;rsquo;s a waste. IR lamps are different. They send heat straight down to the birds and the floor.&#xA;Because the heat goes where it&amp;rsquo;s needed, you aren&amp;rsquo;t just paying to warm up your ceiling and walls. The chicks get warm faster. Simple as that.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;But don&amp;rsquo;t just buy any lamp.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;If you&amp;rsquo;re looking at R-com replacements, you have to be careful.
